I think I gained more skills and experiences than I could possibly name off the top of my head. I went in with the expectation that I’d just keep my head low, do enough to get by, and this would be just another course. But I think this course definitely made the all-nighters, coffee indulgences, and moments of frustration worth it. I found myself opening Excel and Word outside of school and actually using what I learned. And to be honest, I can still walk away with pride about that.
6.9.5 Motion Paths — I found motion paths to be quite cool. A lot of people like recreating advertisements on PowerPoint and posting them on TikTok. So to understand how they did that was really interesting. I messed around with it on my slideshows, and I was going to use it, but I also found myself more focused on the effect rather than the actual slideshow.
So in summation, it’s been rocky, confusing, and fun. I hope you all enjoyed these blog posts as much as I enjoyed writing them. And if you aren’t in my IS101 class, then this one’s for you:
I hope I convinced you to hire me!

Hey Ashley, I loved your presentation about making a Mocha Cookie Crumble drink. I also appreciated the reference back to your first presentation on the show Severance. Congrats on making it to the end!
ReplyDeleteHi Ashley! Once again, I appreciate the extra effort you put into sharing your photography. All of the pictures were a nice touch to your blog post. I also really liked your slideshow presentation on how to make a Mocha Cookie Crumble. I often overlook how many steps go into making these handcrafted drinks. I don’t go to Starbucks often, but if I’m ever in the mood for a sweet drink and see the store extremely busy, I’ll definitely ask for a Mocha Cookie Crumble now!
ReplyDeleteAshley, I feel you completely. My brain feels rewired. I also feel like I need to start looking at key details in everything because if I made mistakes here, I could only imagine what mistakes I made in the past when it came to digital literacy.
ReplyDeleteI know you will be successful and time will tell. By the way any job would be grateful to have you! I really enjoyed your words in this blog, and as always, the photos are amazing! Take care.
I relate a lot to what you said about starting out thinking it would just be another course, then realizing how much we actually learned and applied. The part about seeing how classmates express themselves online really hit, especially since the blog posts gave us such a cool way to connect. You’ve definitely got a unique voice good luck with your future courses.
ReplyDeleteHi Ashley! I always love your energy in your posts! Definitely enjoyed reading them! Thank you for always including a little piece of yourself in your posts by your photography! I've never had a Mocha Cookie Crumble, but after your presentation, I may need to try one. Good luck with all your future goals!
ReplyDeleteWith all the skills and knowledge you have gained in this class I am sure you will have no problem landing whatever job it is you apply for. I'll have to try and make that drink myself one weekend.
ReplyDeleteYou can really tell how much you’ve grown throughout the course, and I thought your take on connecting with classmates through blogging was really unique. It’s true, people can seem so different online compared to in person. Wishing you all the best with your future employers!
ReplyDeleteYes!! I really agree! I think there is so much we can take and apply from here to our future. I too felt like this was a rewire but SO needed and SO eye opening!
ReplyDeleteHi Ashley, it is crazy how small this world is! I never thought I was going to run into a middle school classmate in college! Wish you the best of luck on your journey!
ReplyDeleteHey Ashley,
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed reading your final blog post! It's impressive how you've transformed your initial struggles with Microsoft tools into practical skills that you're now applying outside of class. Your exploration of motion paths in PowerPoint and your creative presentations, like the Mocha Cookie Crumble tutorial, showcase your growth and creativity.
Your reflections on digital identity and the connections formed through blogging highlight the unique experiences we've shared in this class. It's been a pleasure learning alongside you, and I wish you all the best! ^-^
